- By
using the computer touch screen, the operator enters
the production data such as: order number, lot, product
type, production date, and any other information that
might be required.
2
-
Once the product is on the conveyor, the label applicator
applies a brand name sticker to each unit.
3
-
Weighing is accomplished in line by way of weight
cells and a digital controller. The system is capable
of defining acceptable weight criteria. If a product
does not meet the specified acceptable weight range,
an alarm will sound so that the product can be removed.
4
-
Once weighed, the computer will process the data and
send it to the inkjet printer which without coming
into direct contact applies the information such as
lot, weight, expiration date, and if desired, a barcode
to each unit.
5
-
When a box is completed, the system automatically
generates a box label that has the box number, destination,
lot, type of product, production and expiration dates,
together with the gross and net weight for each box.
6
-
After an order is complete, its documentation can
be printed out. This can be used as a packing list
for shipping since it details the weight of each box
processed. All information is stored indefinitely
in the computer for later retrieval.
